The shooting students in our school are training to make a place in the coming contest. Some of them are capable to make it and have experience from international competitions. They train hard several days a week.

They are also learning how to be a technical organizer and will be an important piece in the Championship.

Since shooting became an offer 10 years ago, shooters from Meråker grammar school participating in European Chamopionship and World Cups every year.

The school have also a great number of Norwegian Champions and national records.

Summing up juniors: Anne Marit Nordløkken 400p in air rifle, Ida Kathrin Solem Nordic Champion in 3x20 in 2002, and Jens Kristian Kvernmo 6^th place in 60shot prone and 8^th place in 3x40shot at the European Championship in Plzen in 2003. In the ECH Prague 2009 two shooters from school was on the Norwegian national team, Marte Torvik in female junior and Anne Marit Nordløkken in female, Anne Marit won gold medal in the women’s team competition.

This school is also famous for cross-country skiing and biathlon. Skiers like Frode Estil, Petter Northug and Tora Berger are among the student have some of their basics for Meråker.
